Tie It Back

Terms of Use

Last updated November 2, 2026

The short version. Tie It Back is a free tool that shows you where your sources say something. It isn't a law firm and doesn't give advice. It can make mistakes, so always read the source page yourself before you rely on it.

Who we are

Tie It Back is a trade name of Empire Medical Solutions ("we," "us"). You can reach us at [email protected]. By using tieitback.com or the Tie It Back app, you agree to these terms.

What Tie It Back does

Tie It Back is software that compares the documents you give it. When you highlight a sentence, it looks for matching passages in your other files and labels each one with a match level, such as "Definite Match" or "Careful: numbers differ." It runs in your web browser, on your own computer.

Not legal or professional advice

Tie It Back is not a law firm, an accounting firm or any other kind of professional service, and using it does not create an attorney-client or other professional relationship with us. Nothing it shows you is legal, financial, academic or other professional advice. If you need advice, talk to a qualified professional.

You check the results

Reading text from scans, photos and handwriting, and matching it, can go wrong. A number can be misread, a passage can be missed, and a match level can be wrong. Tie It Back does not certify that any document is accurate, complete or authentic. Before you file, submit, publish or act on anything, read the original source page yourself. You are responsible for what you file, submit or publish.

Your files

Your files are read on your computer, not sent to us. You're responsible for having the right to use the files you open in Tie It Back, and for protecting any confidential information in them, including on shared computers. Our Privacy Policy explains what is stored and how to erase it.

Who can use it

You must be at least 13 years old to use Tie It Back. If you're under 18, use it with a parent's or guardian's permission. If you use it for an organization, you confirm you're allowed to accept these terms for it.

Fair use of the service

Early version, and changes

Tie It Back is new and still being improved. We may change, pause or stop any part of it at any time. Because your files are kept only in your own browser, we can't recover them for you if they're erased or your browser data is cleared, so keep your own copies.

Paid features

Nothing is for sale right now. Before any paid feature opens, we will update these terms with its price, billing, renewal, cancellation and refund rules, and show them to you before you pay.

No warranty

Tie It Back is provided "as is" and "as available." To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including that it will be accurate, error-free or always available, or that it is fit for any particular purpose.

Limit on our liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, lost data or lost cases, arising from your use of Tie It Back. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or $50.

Changes

We may update these terms. When we do, we'll change the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we'll say so on the home page before it takes effect.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
